Winning the LPGA Teaching & Club Professional National Senior Championship in 2001
You might say golf is in my blood. At age 7, I picked up my first golf club in Hollywood, CA, the fourth generation of golfers in my family.
Through the years I enjoyed a very successful playing career, winning regional and national tournaments. I joined the LPGA in 1987 and played in the mini tours in 1987 and 1988. I won both the 2001 LPGA Teaching and Club Professional National Senior Championship and 2002 LPGA Northeast Sectional Teaching and Club Professional Senior Championship. I also earned 2nd or 3rd place finishes in a number of recognized tournaments.
While I love to play competitively, teaching is my true passion. For more than 21 years I have been developing a teaching style that promotes lasting success for my students.
I began my studies at the University of Northern Colorado. Since then I am continually striving to improve my knowledge and understanding of golf instruction. My training includes courses in educational kinesiology, personal fitness and personal development for peak performance. I am also a certified club fitter.

Many organizations, both national and international, regularly call on me to give clinics and individual lessons. Among them are Master Card, American Express, the Jane Blalock Company and the Virgin Islands Bar Association. I currently serve as an instructor for the LPGA National Education Program.
My teaching skills earned several prestigious national honors. Most recently, the LPGA named me one of the "Top 50 Best Teachers" for 2008-09. This honor is especially gratifying because it was decided by a vote of my peers. Golf for Women magazine also named me one of the "Top 50 Instructors in the Country" for 2003 and 2004.
When I'm not golfing, I enjoy many other sports. As a personal challenge, I completed a sprint triathlon when I was 50 years old. That led me to pursue long distance bicycling. Cycling is now a regular activity for me. I have taken several biking tours, and you'll often find me riding in the Marshall/Plains area.
Many of my interests also help me in my golf instruction. I am certified in Reiki Healing and have completed basic massage school. I also have studied both vision training and physical conditioning.
I love hiking and skiing. I'm also an avid cook, with a special interest in nutrition and physical well being.
